Position Summary: Work with Assistant Manager, other engineers, and tooling manufacturers to develop, prepare and review process plans for die development of new vehicle model launches. Work with various metal stamping presses to achieve a high level of equipment efficiencies.
Work with metal stamping and other departments to develop process plan and die creation.
Work with tooling manufacturers to develop plan for die manufacturing and delivery.
Review and apply best manufacturing processes.
Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
Basic machining and grinding fundamentals is preferred.
Fundamental knowledge of reverse engineering, 3D modeling, and laser scanning.
Working knowledge with Excel, Solidworks, and Autodesk Inventor.
Strong organizational, communication and coordination skills.
Plant and office environment.
Regularly exposed to dust, grease/oil, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
