Position Summary: Work with Asst. Manager and other engineers to develop and review process plans and equipment installation for new model launches. Work with various robots to achieve a high level of automation. Work with different types of welding process’s and welding equipment manufacturers to achieve a high level of welding. Work with equipment manufacturers to develop highly automated and controlled systems.
Work with production and other departments to develop process plan and equipment installation.
Install equipment, review and apply best manufacturing processes.
Develop highly automated welding and assembly equipment utilizing robotics.
Work with foreign and domestic equipment builders to ensure the quality and performance of new equipment.
Develop specifications for new equipment and ensure it is built to those specifications.
Create a schedule for new equipment and ensure that it is built and ready for mass production according to the schedule.
Develop ways to utilize new manufacturing technologies to enhance productivity and quality of new equipment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience in manufacturing processes highly preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication and coordination skills.
Able to travel and work flexible hours.
Plant and office environment.
Regularly exposed to dust, grease/oil, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
