Production Supervisor

Plans, monitors and oversees production line processes ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so associates are safe, productive and quality conscious.  This includes organization, planning, discipline, training and safety of direct reports.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Schedules and assigns associates to meet production goals.
  • Reports production and scrap as required.
  • Communicates with support departments as needed to ensure production goals are met.
  • Prepares and executes daily SCORE activity plan through daily cleaning an organizing and training of associates.
  • Ensures that all safety guidelines are being followed and makes improvement suggestions.  Ensures all associates have proper PPE and are using it as required.
  • Ensures quality through verification of Standard Operating Procedures, and follow-up of counter measures and pro-active investigation of issues.
  • Trains associates on safety standards, quality standards and production standards.
  • Coaches and counsels associates on performance issues.
  • Ensures effective associate relations. Provides associate coaching and development.  Resolves associate issues through problem resolution.
  • Runs production during breaks or to fill in for absenteeism as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 2+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing (B.S. or B.A. Degree in Business Management, Industrial Management or related field preferred)
  • ISO/APQP quality aptitude including solid root cause and problem solving experience
  • Time management, team building, organizational, strong communication and coaching skills
  • Follows all safety requirements of the company – (including PPE -hat, glasses, steel-toed boots, uniform, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) safe job behaviors, etc.

 

Work Environment:

  • Plant environment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Regularly exposed to dust, grease/oil, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
