Subframes

We build a wide variety of front and rear sub-frame for our customers. The importance of a high quality sub-frame can often lead to a part that significantly contributes to a vehicle's curb weight. F&P America uses various technologies and production capabilities to decrease weight:

Hybrid steel and aluminum using the only existing continuous friction stir welding technology in the world.
All steel stamping and use of high tensile strength steels to decrease sub-frame weight.
All steel hydro-form to expand range of formable shapes, and increase structural strength.

In addition to metal forming and welding, we also provide a wide range of in-house assembly options that are quality inspected in our facility before being shipped to the customer.

Sub-frame Assemblies

We provide numerous levels of assembly. This includes mounting and differential bush press, to stabi bar, dampener, and gear box installation.
Hydro-formed Sub-frames

Since hydro-formed parts are made with steel tubing, cost is reduced by eliminating unnecessary stamping and welding processes.
Hybrid Sub-frames

F&P America is the first manufacturing facility in the world to perform continuous friction stir welds between steel and aluminum sub-frame component parts.
Stamped Sub-frames

Our ability to design, stamp, and weld sub-frames with high strength tensile steels allows us to reduce overall product weight by using thinner gauge steels.
