Position Responsibilities:
* Work with mass production teams, R&D, parent and other global factories, and/or other departments to develop manufacturing process plans and equipment installation plans.
* Develop specifications for automated welding and assembly equipment and ensure the machines are built to those specifications.
* Ensure the quality and performance of new equipment by working with foreign and domestic equipment manufacturers and integrators.
* Install, review, debug, and confirm equipment.
* Utilize new manufacturing technologies to enhance productivity and quality of new and current equipment.
* Provide regular updates to management, customers and project coordination.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Industrial, Welding or related field
* Experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing processes highly preferred.
* Previous experience in project management highly preferred.
* Automation and Controls experience highly preferred. (Robotics, PLCs/HMIs, industrial sensors, vision systems, etc.)
* Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
* Able to travel and work flexible hours.
Work Environment:
Plant and office environment.
Regularly exposed to dust, grease/oil, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
