Position Responsibilities:

Work with metal stamping and other departments to develop process plan and die creation.

Work with tooling manufacturers to develop plan for die manufacturing and delivery.

Review and apply best manufacturing processes.

Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Basic machining and grinding fundamentals is preferred.

Fundamental knowledge of reverse engineering, 3D modeling, and laser scanning.

Working knowledge with Excel, Solidworks, and Autodesk Inventor.

Strong organizational, communication and coordination skills.

General knowledge of die construction, troubleshooting and repair.

Work Environment:

Plant and office environment.

Regularly exposed to dust, grease/oil, odors, noise, smoke, etc.

Notes:

This is a hands-on position.  Associate is expected to make or assist in making adjustments and/or repairs to new dies being introduced into production.

Associate must be capable of domestic and international travel.

Fundamental knowledge of press operations is a plus.
