My name is Darlene and I am a Production Supervisor at F & P America. I have been with this company for 11 years now. I started here in 2004 through CBS (which is now Staffmark). I had worked for CBS a little over a year at many of the local companies: Hobart and Trophy Nut to name a few. None of the companies previous to F & P had exactly what I was looking for. After a few months here at F&P I knew this is where I wanted to work full time. Being 48 years old at the time made it a little harder to “fit” in to a factory, but I have always been treated with respect for my work performance and attendance. I was hired after a little over a year and expressed an interest in moving up. I became a Lead Associate in 2008, and with much encouragement from my Managers and Supervisor, I became a Production Supervisor in 2012. Yes, I made sure my attendance was good and yes, I have put in some long days, but like anything in life, you have to make an effort to be rewarded.
When I receive a new Staffmark associate in my department I always tell them that I was just like them and came up through the company. How far they go in the company is entirely up to them. F&P America is a good company that cares for their associates . They offer good benefits and vacation time, and bonus for good attendance. I have had Staffmark associates work in my area and just like my Supervisor and Manager did for me, I try to encourage people to go higher. I am proud to say that one of my Staffmark associates is now a Production Supervisor and I also had another associate become a Lead. The company continues to grow and with growth comes many opportunities for the associates. Many things have changed as well with Staffmark since I have become a Supervisor. The associates now receive raises and earned time off. I encourage people who are looking for a job to come to F & P. My younger sister and my brother-in-law also work here, came in through Staffmark, and now are full-time associates. Good attendance, good work ethics, and a good attitude will take you as far as you want to go in this company.
My name is Matt and I’m a Supervisor at F&P America in Troy. I started at F&P America as a temporary associate through Staffmark in 2006. I was hired by F&P America as a regular, full-time production associate 13 months later in 2007. My work ethic, quality production of parts as well as my excellent attendance paid off! Just six months after becoming a regular F&P America associate, I was promoted to Lead Associate in 2008. I continued to work with the same ethics, quality and attendance. I expressed my interest in continuing to grow with the company and in 2010, I was promoted to a salaried Production Supervisor.
This goes to prove that there is plenty of room for advancement at F&P America. Working my way up from being a temporary associate to a Supervisor has really opened my eyes to how great a company F&P America is to work for. This is a company that truly cares for you as an individual as well as your family. I could go on and on about how this company has taken care of me over the years. If I had it all to do over again, I wouldn’t change a thing!
Currently, Staffmark associates assigned to F&P America can achieve pay raises for perfect attendance, earn days off and achieve recognition gifts for great attendance and performance. NOW is the best time to come to F&P America through Staffmark!
